Lately in JavaScript podcast in the Google Hangouts On Air
In practice this means several things:
1) The podcast show will be recorded in video
2) You can participate in the recording or at least watch it live
3) The recording will be available in YouTube and in the Google Plus social network for you to watch later, as well with the audio transcript in the JSClasses site blog
Since this initiative will also happen in the Lately in the PHP podcast, you may want to read more details in an article about the Lately in PHP podcast in the Google Hangouts On Air.
Participate Today in the podcast recording
The recording of the first episode of the podcast in video will happen later today at April 26, at 00:00 UTC.
As explained in the Lately in PHP article up to 10 people can participate in the podcast live. If more than 10 people want to participate, those that cannot enter will still be able watch it live in PHP Classes site user page (also labeled as Manuel Lemos) on Google Plus.
Only those that are in the friends circle of the PHP Classes site user will be invited to participate. So, if you want to participate, please add the PHP Classes site user to your circles. Once you do that, that user will add you in his Friends circle to confirm that you are set to be invited in this and in future episodes.
You will get an invitation to join when the podcast recording is about to start. Google Plus will post that invitation as notification in your Google Plus account but you may not receive an e-mail early enough to participate in time. Therefore it is recommended that you keep an eye in your notifications near when the podcast schedule time.
If you also care about PHP, the Lately in PHP podcast recording will happen probably Saturday, April 28 02:00 AM UTC, but this may be subject to change.
If you can participate on any of the podcasts, great. Just make sure you follow some basic rules explained in the Lately in PHP article. If you cannot participate, that is OK, you will be able to watch the recording later.
